seems like it's been so long since i've written here.

i've decided i should keep a detailed account of my sixth and final year in college. the question lies, however, in do i by a notebook type thing and write it out by hand, or do i pound away at my keyboard leaving to chance the non-crashing ability of my computer. i mean, it'd kinda suck if it was next february and the blue screen of death threw away the past six months of my life. hmmm....what a pathetic dilemma. like i have nothing better to do than wonder about stuff like this...

so the 37 freshmen moved onto my floor in the dorm this past week. i think we're still missing a couple. i'd say there's a huge maturity gap between their 18 years and my 22 years of age, but i don't usually act very mature anyway...so we all get along pretty well. most of them are ballas (don't hate the playa, hate the game), and surprisingly we have a bunch of lacrosse people in the dorm...both guys and girls. go figure. it's been kinda difficult at first getting all their names right. and it doesn't help that we have five matthews, three christophers, three johnathans, two edwards, and two ians. so i just call them all "Hey!" or "Dude!" i'll probably keep doing that until there's a problem, but for now it's ok.

last night there was a donut social for all the freshmen on this side of campus. the freshman advisory board was so smart to have thousands of donuts (krispy kreme, no less) but not a drop to drink. now think about it. when was the last time you consumed a dry pastry that had been sitting out on the table on a muggy summer night and not wanted something with which to wash it down? i'm talking common sense here people. a little hawaiian punch, sunny d, or rc cola never hurt anyone.

oooh...the water polo team i coach is taking me to australia for a week to coach them in a tournament. how most awesome is that? the catch is that if my club team that i play on makes nationals (which are being held outside of LA at Cal Poly), i hafta come back early. so my ticket has me leaving australia late friday morning and arriving in LA early friday morning. basically i have four hours to get from the LA airport to Cal Poly which is a nice two hundred miles away. BUT...conveniently there is a shuttle flight from LA to San Luis Obispo (where Cal Poly is located) that should get me there in time....we'll see....

9 months and then the rest of my life....i can't wait for school to start....i'm such a geek
