the countdown is um, down to 95 calendar days to graduation....
and i think i'm going through my quarter-life crisis. things just aren't the same anymore on so many different levels. nothing's going right. i've been getting so worked up about not finding work it's affecting everything i do. i dunno why i'm so paranoid that i'll be out on my butt without food or shelter or anything else. but it sucks.
on the other hand, i am enjoying my final classes at this fine Institution i have called home for the past six years. in one of my senior design labs i am making an array of gas sensors integrated into a fine and delicate network of double diaphragm pumps and other gadgets and gizmos whose entire purpose is to make a little tiny red light turn on. it's a handheld environmental monitoring device. in all reality, however, it's just a fancy breathalyzer. it takes air in, runs it over the sensors, and tells you if there's too high a concentration of bad gases in the air.
in my other senior design lab, we're making (and later marketing) a product we like to call the Pantsformer. have you ever found yourself in line for tickets, at an outdoor concert, or at come upon a group of seated friends with no place to sit? you need the Pantsformer. it's a regular pair of pants (we're working on making cargo shorts, too) with a built in refinforced nylon seat and fold-out telescoping legs. why stand up when you can sit? the Pantsformer will be completely washable and continue to be the quality fashion statement that they are today. no bulkiness or huge amounts of weight pulling your pants down either. how great is that? anyway, we figure we could sell these to teenagers at pretty much the same cost as regular pants. we'll see....
and that's about it.
oh, one more thing. if there is anyone who works for a mechanical engineering company, pleeeease hire me! i have no experience, never really applied myself in school, and am really really interested in becoming part of the (insert company name here) team. oh, and the farther away, the better. please get me out of here!!!!!!!!!
